Subject: CPIN: RESOURCE--Powerpoint on which immigrant groups qualify under the Affordable Care Act

Dear Service Providers,

I am sending along this resource which is exactly what I have been looking for.  It describes which immigrant statues qualify for the various healthcare plans under the Affordable Care Act.  I just went through it and I thought that it was so helpful. I loved it because it will help us as service providers when working with our clients who may possibly have mixed immigration status households (and because I am a policy geek).  There are great examples with families  with various versions of mixed status households.  I would love to find someone to present on this at CPIN but I think that the speakers were from national organizations.

Here is the link to the powerpoint:

I hope you find it helpful.

Immigrant integration is a dynamic, two-way process in which newcomers and the receiving society work together to build secure, vibrant, and cohesive communities. As an intentional effort, integration engages and transforms all community members, reaping shared benefits and creating a new whole that is greater than the sum of its parts (Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees).
