RE: [emrat:3043] Recap of the Doug Perkins Ride Saturday

Thanks Dan for organizing the Benefit ride for Doug, and thanks Johnny J for the donation of “The Art of the Motorcycle”.  For those of you who were unable to join us for the ride (or lunch) on Saturday, Doug looks pretty good (all things considered).  I took a few pictures so I will get them posted to the EM/RAT facebook site in the next day or so.

 

After lunch, I asked Doug if he thought he would ever get back on a motorcycle, his response was interesting!  He said that if he had been asked that shortly after the accident, his answer would have been a definite “no”.  But now his answer is “he’s not sure” (so there is a possibility). 

 

My guess is that once he has recovered and the doctors give him the “all clear” we might just see Doug on two wheels again…   So to help pass the hours of physical therapy Doug will no doubt have to endure, I would like to donate my winning ticket for “The Art of the Motorcycle” to Doug! 

 

Take care Doug…and keep us posted on your progress.

 

John if you would just like to send the “The Art of the Motorcycle” directly to Doug that would be great, or perhaps Dan could coordinate delivering it to him.
