Subject: Antidote for the Negativity Bias – Catch it Wednesday

The data is clear: we evolved to survive long enough to pass on DNA, not to be happy.

My friend and fellow mindfulness student Rick Hanson, PhD (author of The Buddha’s Brain and Hardwiring Happiness) is a pioneer in exploring how this occurred, and what we can do about it.

This Wednesday evening Rick will be interviewed as part of the free new webinar series, The New Brain Science. He'll share some great practices he’s developed to reverse our hardwired tendencies toward fear, constriction, grasping, and aversion.

Along with Kelly McGonigal, PhD from Stanford, I’ll be commenting on Rick’s interview, suggesting clinical applications for his insights and techniques. It’s part of a fascinating six week neurobiology series also featuring Dan Siegel, Daniel Goleman,Helen Fisher, Bruce Lipton, and Daniel Amen.

You can watch Rick’s webinar and our commentary this Wednesday, January 29 at 5:00 or 6:30pm Eastern time for free—you just have to sign up (scroll down to the grey free of charge button).

Or you can register for a paid membership (which makes the series possible) and get access at any time to recordings and transcripts of all 6 webinars, plus additional programs and resources.

Here's the link again where you register for Wednesday’s broadcast or sign up for full access to the whole series.

I hope get to catch Rick!

Ron
