[emrat:15625] 1997 Triumph Tiger 900 T400

All,

For those who didn't know this June Denise and I brought home Brian Huculak's 1997 Triumph Tiger. The motorcycle had not run in decades, the carbs had been removed and all the body work. Today we're happy the life has returned to the Tiger as she ran for the first time in decades. Below low you will find to links to a goggle album which I will document the path to return this motorcycle to its forearm self and a video of the Tiger running.

I have been texting with Norm and have some updates. If you were at the rally in Meeker you know Norm needs re-constructive surgery for his ureatha and has been on a catheter for the last month or 2. Unfortunately Norm suffered severe chest pains a week ago last Thursday and had to call 911. The EMT’s took him to the hospital and the diagnosis was DVT and right leg blood clots. One of the clots made it to his left lung causing a pulmonary embolism. They sent him by ambulance to the ICU at St. Anthony’s in Lakewood. They treated him for 2 days and nights and he is now on Eloquis and back home. Of course the ureatha surgery was canceled. He will meet with his urology team next week to come up with a plan B. Norm will stay with Dan for a couple days next week as Julie will be out of town.

On another unpleasant note, Doc called Norm and advised that he has had a 2nd stroke and spent a week at Denver Health for treatment but is back at home recovering now.

My name is Peter David and was a part time Rat member back in early 2000's. Some of you might vaguely remember my from Triumphs in Taos or as John Beldocks electrician.

I have some male and a female size cold weather jackets and pant.

We bought them for our trip from Seattle, through BC Canada up the Rocky Mountains on a 10 day trip. I also have 2 heavy Triumph touring jackets, 1 - leather Steve McQueen jacket and a leather classic Norton jacket.

I have 1 womens new helmet and a custom Trident sign.

I no longer have a motorcycle and this gear needs to go to active riders.

If there is any interest out there for these items, please spread the word.

If anyone wants to join me I'll be leaving Pueblo on Sunday Sep 13th and riding to Delta via Buena Vista, Independence Pass, and probably Grand Mesa. Overnight in Delta.

On Monday the 14th I'll ride the Tabegauche Scenic Byway through Gateway and all the way down to Naturita, then continue on to Ridgway and head South over US 550, the Million Dollar Highway through Durango and overnight in Bloomfield, NM (between Farmington and Aztec.)

Tuesday 9/15 I'll ride from Bloomfield down US 550 to Abiquiu Reservoir and then take US 84 North to Chama, over Cumbres and Manga passes and into Antonito, and from there home to Pueblo via Walsenburg.

Anyone who is interested in joining me for all or part of the ride, let me know!

[emrat:15611] August Meeting

Hello everyone

I am aware that our monthly August meeting at Foothills (August 8th) is still one week away,but l wanted to take this opportunity to address a couple of items.

Firstly,the annual BMW 100,000 foot ride will be leaving Foothills at 8am the same day.There will likely be food trucks in the parking lot,so parking could become an issue.There is a small lot off 14th Ave on the south side of Foothills as an option.

Yesterday (7/31),l picked up the remaining long sleeve shirts from our 2026 rally.l will bring those in with me for those of you that have placed an order.

I am still working on a Fall overnight ride.The month of September is messed up with both Labor Day and the Colorado Conclave being a week later than usual.Also Foothills has a special event for September 12th which l am a part of,details to follow next week.

Finally,the BMAC has found a new location in Monument for their monthly meetings,except they had to change the date to the third Saturday of the month due to a conflict with another club.The meetings used to clash with our RMRAT get together,hence no more!Next BMAC meeting will be August 15th and l will try to make it down to Monument.
