Subject: [emrat:14483] High Wind Alert for 4-7-24: Input sought
OK Rats, I need some feedback: National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the exact area where I was planning on doing the Chuck Ferrari Ride on Sunday.
I think there are only 3 people who have committed to the ride. At this point my inclination is to go ahead and postpone for another weekend. What says the group?
Here's the alert:
HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 9 AM SATURDAY TO NOON MDT SUNDAY
* WHERE...Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range,
The Mountains of Summit County, the Mosquito Range, and the Indian
Peaks, The Northern Front Range Foothills, The Southern Front
Range Foothills, South Park, Fort Collins, and Boulder and the
western suburbs of Denver.
* WHEN...From 9 AM Saturday to noon MDT Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
