I recall them having to do that. Sara and I were members at the time of the change. I guess a number of the clubs had to make changes to their merchandise for clubs and rally T-shirts, such as Sipapu.
I will be honest, I didn't even think about it when I sent the link to a few folks at Triumph, NA. It never dawned on me until you mentioned it, that I could just as easily received a "It looks like a nice event, but you need to redesign the shirt and remove the Triumph logo as it appears."
I figure it was probably due to it being a one time run for a Triumph related event and not for sale for profit or beyond that event.

Probably so. One area Triumph is better that BMW is such practical leniency. For example, BMW made the Colorado BMW club change their old logo as it used the BMW rondial and they forbid anyone except dealers from using that.

Subject: Re: [emrat:5175] Another t shirt ideaI sent a link to our Triumphs in Taos page to Triumph North America when asking them for support for the event. That page includes our TNT shirt which has the Triumph Logo. They said it sounded like a great event and were willing to support us with some Triumph schwag. They didn't say anything about the use of the logo or that we needed to cease and desist from using it. I get the feeling as long as you aren't trying to profit from it, with your own branded Triumph clothing on eBay, they give some leeway? the RAT logo when we were looking at doing a club logo a year or so ago.
Triumph has given blanket permission for RAT clubs to use that.

I had my T-shirt lady create one of these for me with my "we just ride"
saying and it looks great. My first one was with another brand which we
shall not name here. I told her that the Triumph group shares the sentiment.
She can sell these at $16 each for individual orders and less in quantity
should there be any interest. I am not making a penny, just trying to
support a small woman owned business (and getting a free t or two in the
process)
