Sadly that is what Sturgis has turned into these days. It's good that you at least got an opportunity to experience it. It was much different in the 60's and 70's. It was all about motorcycles then...

My first time visiting Sturgis. It was.... interesting. Kind of like an oversized t-shirt shop with a bunch of motorcycles in the middle of it.
