I know a place that has some gorgeous aspen forests. Battle Pass, which is WY Highway 70, runs from Riverside/Encampment (about 20 miles South of Saratoga) and over to Baggs, from there we'd go South to Craig and from Craig ride home, possibly taking the back road from Hayden to Gore Pass or if we want a really long ride, go through Steamboat, over Rabbit Ears and then continue on 14 to Walden, then take Willow Creek Pass down to Granby and then home either via Berthoud Pass and the interstate OR Trail Ridge Road through RMNP. Either route would be circa 360 - 400 + miles back to Denver, figure an all-day ride but with some amazing fall scenery! Martin I will have my flask full of Whiskey and will be ready to consume mass quantities! CPT Bob
