I think it was an 8MM Allen and I have a set of 3/8" socket allens so I can use my click torque wrench.

My T120 warranty is over so I did my first, myself, oil change (others done by dealer) on my 2017 Bonnie T-120.

 

The oil filter is in a bitchy spot with no clearance for my previous tools.

 

I went to AutoZone and got a 65/67 MM 14 flute wrench.  It worked but it wasn't easy.  Triumph engineers really sucked on that design.

 

 

I've always used KN filters with the external welded nut on my Beemers.  Auto Zone had one for my T-120.  I'll never buy anything else again, worth the extra $8.00..

 

I'll save the Triumph filter for my Street Triple but it's the last one I'll own.  KN from this time forward on all bikes.
