In just one month, on May 17, I will again be riding to raise money for the Movember Foundation, which funds research into prevention and treatment of men’s cancers, mental health and suicide prevention. The ride is a fun event, in which over 100,000 enthusiasts around the world groom our beards in old-fashioned styles, dress up in old-fashioned finery, and ride old-fashioned motorcycles. This will be my tenth year participating, Colorado Springs’ eleventh event in a row, and the first year that we are sponsored and hosted by the local Triumph dealership, Sun Powersports!
Thanks to your help, this event has raised almost $61 million for the cause since 2012. The local Colorado Springs event attracted over 120 riders last year and raised just over $13,000. Since 2016, our community has raised just over $113K. That’s due to your support and I would greatly appreciate your help again this year. Those who donate can bask in the warm glow of participation and will also receive silly photos to be saved for potential future blackmail. If you’ve already donated, thank you!!
