RE: [emrat:15412] April 11-12 Spring Overnight

Sara and I are going.  We may end up going our own route or catching you at lunch, since we plan to have an early breakfast at Raccoon Creek at 7:30AM and catch up on some club stuff before heading out.

Yes, as of Saturday when we booked our room, all room types were still available.  Looks like a fun place with the Stanley Beer Hall type self serve taps.  Appears to be live music on Saturday as well.

I am not sure if your route Nom, but FYI there appears to be about 13 mi of unsaved road between Yoder and Boone on Boone Road due to construction and likewise about 8 mi on 118, which connects 86 to I-70 near Limon for the same.  Just a heads up in case anyone is dirt adverse.

Looking forward to it!

Sean

Subject: [emrat:15409] April 11-12 Spring Overnight

HI folks:

A few of us met at Foothills to discuss the overnight.  While the Denver (& MTS) weather is not too good, the plains look fine.

Thus, we will meet at Patty Ann's Cafe  30 Comanche St in Kiowa.  We'l depart there about 10:10.  Those that want coffee or breakfast, arrive before that time.  We suggest you top off tanks there or plan on fuel in Limon about 40 miles later.

We will lunch in Rocky Ford, then on to Trinidad on The Comanche Grasslands Scenic Highway, US  160.

We stay at the Well Hotel & Tap Room (I understand rooms still available).

The Sunday return is weather dependent, but forcast looks great.

Please RSVP if you are going, so we know whom to expect in Kiowa, or if you are making your own way to Triidad, let us know that too.

My cell is (303) 478-8203

See you Saturday AM., Norm and Dan Pilcher
