Immigrant integration is a dynamic, two-way process in which newcomers and the receiving society work together to build secure, vibrant, and cohesive communities. As an intentional effort, integration engages and transforms all community members, reaping shared benefits and creating a new whole that is greater than the sum of its parts (Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees).

FALL 2013 GRANTMAKING CYCLE OPENS!
Request for Proposals

We are excited to announce that we are open to new applications for the Fall 2013 Grant Cycle!

The deadline for proposals is Wednesday, August 21st.

If your organization or grant writer is new to the Chinook Fund, we strongly recommend attending our next Grant Application Workshop on Monday, July 29 from Noon - 2 p.m. at the Youthbiz classroom (next to Chinook Fund office).

This workshop will help you to determine if you are eligible to apply for a Chinook Fund grant and teach you some basics in submitting a successful application. Because Chinook's guidelines are so different from those of other foundations, please do not expect to learn how to write general grants here! Bring a brown bag lunch and join us at our office for this free workshop.

This workshop will be held at Youthbiz classroom located at 3280 Downing Street, Denver, 80205. Please call 303-455-6905 x2 to reserve your seat OR  email  us by July 25th

Online Grant Application Workshop Series
To assist prospective applicants in better understanding our revised Funding Guidelines and Funding Processes, and to make a Grant Application Workshop readily accessible to applicants outside of the Denver Metro Area, we have devised a 3-part Online Grant Application Workshop Series.
  • Part One explores: the Chinook Fund’s history, values and philosophy; how grantmaking decisions are made; and background regarding the January 1st, 2013 guideline revisions.

  • Part Two examines: the Chinook Fund’s three key funding criteria; additional guidelines; funding categories, multi-year grants, and funding deadlines.

  • Part Three looks at: the grant application forms, including the budget form, diversity chart, and final checklist.
Please visit the Chinook Fund website at http://www.chinookfund.org/grantmaking for additional information, or to download a grant application.

We highly recommend attending our grant application workshop or speaking with Nora before applying: nbashir@chinookfund.org or 303-455-6905 x4.
