Dear Service Providers,

Please see the information below regarding how to apply to be an Americorps member with the Denver Public Schools.

I was an Americorps members and it was one of the best times of my life.  They are looking for contacts 17 years of age or older who are bilingual.

Please pass along the information to those who might be interested.

Also note that I am only passing along the information for the listserv and have no further information about this posting.

Immigrant integration is a dynamic, two-way process in which newcomers and the receiving society work together to build secure, vibrant, and cohesive communities. As an intentional effort, integration engages and transforms all community members, reaping shared benefits and creating a new whole that is greater than the sum of its parts (Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees).

Hello,
My name is Lily Gutierrez and I work with the Denver Public Schools AmeriCorps Program within The Office of Family and Community Engagement. Marisol Bolanos gave me  your contact information and said you may be able to help us recruit.
We are currently seeking bilingual candidates, 17 years of age or older, to serve as AmeriCorps Members in our program in order to better serve the Denver community. Denver Public Schools AmeriCorps Members will work in school sites throughout the district to help increase attendance and retention rates, increase community and family involvement, and implement service projects to support these efforts. In addition to providing an excellent opportunity for professional growth the benefits include: $1000 monthly living stipend, health insurance, and a $5,500 Siegel Education Award upon the successful completion of 1,700 service hours.
Any help in recruiting would be greatly appreciated and if you know of any qualified candidates please send them our way. Attached are links for our blog and Facebook page as well as the application link.
Thank you and have a great day!
Best,

Lily Gutierrez
