Dear Service Providers,

Please see the email below regarding some great opportunities for organizations to work with the New America School at Lowry to enhance their services for their students.  It is a fantastic school and this would be a great opportunity.

Immigrant integration is a dynamic, two-way process in which newcomers and the receiving society work together to build secure, vibrant, and cohesive communities. As an intentional effort, integration engages and transforms all community members, reaping shared benefits and creating a new whole that is greater than the sum of its parts (Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees).

Hi Meg,

Would you be able to help put this request out to the CPIN listserv? New America School at Lowry is trying to enhance our out-of-school-time programs by offering a bimonthly guest speaker series as well as enrichment activities for our high school students. Our budget is fairly tight, so I’m hoping to partner with individuals and organizations who have an interest in working with at-risk students, immigrant/refugee youth, and young moms. The main timeframe I’m looking to cover is two Wednesday afternoons, from 1:30-3:20pm.

I am looking for a range of speakers, from career-related to character-building/motivational to performance, and am hoping to be able to put together some great clubs and skill-building opportunities for our students as well. Anyone who has a skill or presentation they would like to share can contact me at ekimmel@newamericaschool.org – I’ll be here most of the summer!

Thanks and have a great weekend,

Erin
