Mayor Hancock and Denver Public Library to Throw Open Doors to Expanded Hours

 

DENVER – Mayor Michael B. Hancock and City Librarian Shirley Amore will join library-lovers on Saturday to open the doors to the first round of expanded hours for the Denver Public Library system.

 

The event marks the beginning of the significant improvements Measure 2A will have on every Denver neighborhood. Thanks to Denver voters' overwhelming support of Measure 2A last November, the city is able to eliminate its budget deficit, restore essential services and put Denver on a path to full economic recovery.

 

Who: Mayor Michael B. Hancock, City Librarian Shirley Amore and library enthusiasts.

 

What: Press event.

 

Where: Broadway entrance of the Denver Central Library.

 

When: 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013.

 

Photo-op: Mayor, City Librarian and other city officials and members of the public enter library at new time together. Crowd will gather at Broadway entrance.
