There are a few spots left in this great training for Case Aides and others who work with children in south central Colorado.

 

Recognizing and Managing Behavior in Children with ADHD

 

·         This two-day training will focus on practical interventions for children with mental health disorders and their families. 

o   The training will increase awareness and understanding of ADHD, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Bi-Polar, and Depression by covering the most current information regarding:  symptoms, causes, associated problems, and treatment of the disorders. 

o   Participants will also learn specific behavioral intervention strategies for use in the context of their practice with families. 

o   Creating therapeutic games for children with ADHD will also be discussed.

·         June 12-13, 2013 in Ft. Collins, Colorado at Timberline Church, 2908 Timberline Rd., Ft. Collins.

·         Training is geared toward Case Services Aides who work in visitation centers, life skills programs, home-based service programs and parent education groups but is open to all county staff and community members with an interest in this topic.

·         Eligible for 13 ongoing training hours

·         From 8:30am –  4:30pm both days

·         FREE for employees of County Departments of Human or Social Services and only $25 for all others.
