Immigrant integration is a dynamic, two-way process in which newcomers and the receiving society work together to build secure, vibrant, and cohesive communities. As an intentional effort, integration engages and transforms all community members, reaping shared benefits and creating a new whole that is greater than the sum of its parts (Grantmakers Concerned with Immigrants and Refugees).

Hello!

Our immigration law firm will be hosting an free community event on the evenings of May 9 and June 6 in Aurora. For three hours we will provide sessions about various topics related to immigration law and options available for members of our community. As an important part of the program we would like to have a resource table where we can provide flyers, pamphlets, handouts, giveaways and other resources to attendees. This information may be related to health, safety, awareness, community building, educational opportunities, child care, transportation, or other services that may benefit immigrants and their families. If you would like to provide materials for the event, please let me know by replying to this email and mail your materials to my attention at the address below. Unfortunately, we do not have space for vendors, but we would love to showcase your materials. Please keep in mind that the first event will be held May 9 (which is only 9 days away!) We will have door prizes so if you have any t-shirts, water bottles, passes, etc. that you would like to provide, we welcome them!

Attached please find the informational flyer for the event. Please feel free to forward, post, or distribute it as you see fit. We appreciate your support! If you would like me to provide copies for distribution please let me know.

Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have questions or further needs.

Best,
