[CPN] Traffic Alert: 38th Street Overnight Closures, Blake to Brighton Blvd

TRAFFIC ALERT

38th Street between Blake Street and Brighton Boulevard to Close for Five Consecutive Nights

Deck installation to occur on the 38th Street Bridge for East Rail Line Project, requiring closure for safety


Denver, Mar. 21, 2013 – The Regional Transportation District's contractor for the East Rail Line, Denver Transit Partners (DTP), will close 38th Street between Blake Street and Brighton Boulevard for five consecutive nights from Monday, Apr. 1, 2013, through Friday, Apr. 5, 2013, in order to install the decking on the 38th Street commuter rail bridge. The road will close each evening at 9 p.m. and will reopen the following morning at 5 a.m.

Additionally, work on the 38th Street Commuter Rail Bridge will continue for 30 days with potential lane closures throughout.

This work is part of the construction of the East Rail Line between downtown Denver and Denver International Airport. The project is part of the RTD's FasTracks program.

The public is asked to comply with instructions on posted construction signs and to use alternate routes to bypass the area.
