[CPN] Streets Are For People Event

Dear Denver leaders,

We would like to invite you to join us at an upcoming event on Tuesday, March 19th.  The creator of Streetsblog (www.streetsblog.org) Aaron Naparstek will be here to share with us his experience in creating a livable streets movement in New York City.  In 2006, Mr. Naparstek launched Streetsblog in order to provide a daily news source for efforts, initiatives and policies around transportation in New York City.  Streetsblog established an online community and discussion forum and educated and excited the community, press, and policy makers.

Streetsblog has since spread to San Francisco, Los Angeles, D.C., and Chicago.  Mr. Naparstek is going to share how Streetsblog plays a critical role in spreading ideas and connecting people who are building this nationwide movement.  He will also share the opportunities, challenges and successes of transforming New York City streets.

We hope you will join us for this important gathering of local advocates and leaders.
