RE: [emrat:8658] One Wild and Wooly Road

Let me try again.  I see the letter "y" on the end of the link that I first sent.

We took US 12 west from Lewiston and, where it makes a sharp left turn to go down to Walla Walla, we went off on WA 261 through Starbuck.  It dead-ends at WA 260, which we took west to WA 17 and then up to Othello.  From Othello, we took WA 24 (much of which is boring) to Yakima.

Hey Dan, the link is broken. Which road(s) did you take from Paloose?

If I were to guess I'd say WA 26 to WA 24. Close?

We don't need reservations and if the weather turns bad we can cancel with no problems. If you do decide to go be prepared for overnight lows between 35-45 F. I will update the group at the Tuesday meeting. We hope that many of you will join us!

Hello everyone!

June is a pretty active month and I just wanted to let everyone know about some upcoming dates of which to be aware:

1. Sunday, June 5th will be our monthly Sunday ride.  Maybe we can have some cooperation from the weather this time?  Meet at Bear Valley Coffee 5600 W Dartmouth (near Hampden and Sheridan).  We will be kickstands up at 10:00 am.  I'll be there around 9:15-9:30 to grab a coffee.  For those that are newer, this is a leisurely ride that doesn't keep us out too late.

2. EMRAT Monthly meeting at the Interstate Kitchen and Bar 1001 Santa Fe Drive at 7:00 pm on Tuesday 6/7.  Traci from Hear no Evil will be there as our guest speaker.

3. Book your room for Triumph in the Rockies by 6/14!  Beyond this, our block is available to the general public.  Call Red Arrow Inn at (970) 249-9641.  Tell them you are with the Triumph Group from Denver.  (Event is 7/15-7/17)

4.  Register for Triumph in the Rockies by the end of day June 26th through www.ericomotorsports.com (click on "Ride with Erico" and "Riding Clubs".  You will see underneath the EMRAT Logo, a link to register for the rally).

5. Triumphs in Taos WILL be happening this year, the weekend following Labor Day.  Will provide updates as I get them.

Well, English Steve, I will appreciate "spoiler alerts" as I will have to wait until I return to Denver June 11th to watch the episodes for which I have set the DVR.

And, for the record, I am working "remotely" up here on Vashon Island!

But I did take a ride today on the BMW around the Island, and only had two trucks pull out in front of me plus one deer (a doe) prance around on the road while I waited for her to make up her mind and scoot off into the trees.  Such is slow-speed Island riding.

One or two of you have asked me over the last couple of months if the 2016 Isle of Man TT races will be televised on any US cable channels.

Well,l have good news, cable channel Velocity will be airing the first days action this upcoming Saturday at 9.00pm (6 lap superbike class).Check the tangled inner-web for upcoming air times throughout the week.

All l ask is you don't post any race results on this sight, because someone who shall remain nameless is away at play on Vashon Island and remotely setting his DVR!

If practice times are any indication, should be a "mega" week!
