From what I understand, Harley's have the same issue with the belts chirping. Might be one of the reasons for the loud pipes.  Dunno.

If you can keep it quiet between tire replacements that's probably about as good as it gets. I've had the best luck with this particular issue with the Techs at Foothill.

Here is a thread on the subject.  Long story short, it sounds like the chirp comes from incorrect belt tension, incorrect wheel alignment, or a combination of both.

Mannie;  I will not be able to attend T'nT this year, as my grandchildren will be in town.  You might want to consider hi-balling it down I25 into NM and then going thru Angelfire to Taos.  The Vietnam memorial is on this route and worth a look.  Timewise, it would probably be close to the usual route.  EWB

Hey Chris,

Nothing yet.  I will probably lead a group down there.  I'd like to switch up the route a bit.  Need to find a balance between a new route and getting there at a reasonable time.

In other news, our chokecherry wheat should be ready to take down for Taos, and we have a new Drink Tank 1 Gallon growler in which to transport it!

Any group rides set yet to head down there?

Hello all!  Just wanted to provide an update from Andy Faust, the organizer of this year's Triumphs in Taos.

"I'd first of all like to thank all that have committed to TNT!

As of this Sunday we have approx. 26 riders with a total of 32 attending. I'm hoping for another 5 to 10 being able to make it. If you do want to go and would like a shirt plz let me know by Monday night (tomorrow) the 29th. After that date it's still NOT too late to register. It looks to me as though the absolute cut off will be Monday September 5th. This will give the cooks time for a head count.

Some bullet point worth noting:
1) I've secured a great musician for Saturday night. We decided Saturday would be better for the music. It gives time for everyone to make it in Friday without possibly missing it.
2) I've been told by the cook that both enchilada plates are gluten free. Some have expressed the desire for a veggie enchilada plate. I'll make sure she knows about that.
3) Pinon wood already in my truck for my wife Pam to follow up to Taos.

Thanks for your patience during my first year running the event! I'm hoping next year to have info posted by May 1st! As a reminder, to gain information on the event there is a thread on Triumphrat.net,Facebook and the Emrat website.

EWB

Grimo's Italian Ristorante is #1 of 7 in Poncha Springs with the Hunger Trailer #2.  Mimi's has slipped to #3.

Not sure how fast an in/out Grimo's would be though.  Toni's is #4 and probably not a bad option either.

I haven't eaten at Grimo's or Toni's
