"Ethics is knowing the difference between what you have the right to do and what is the right thing to do." Former United State Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart

In this 1.5 hour webinar, with your help and interaction, we will discuss "applied ethics," the process of applying principles and guidance provided by the Code of Professional Ethics for Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, to situations you've encountered. We'll briefly review the principles and values provided by The Code and investigate a definition of ethical dilemma and ethical behavior. We will explore contemporary issues regarding ethical behavior and ethical decision making. We will explore a process of personal review and what do we do when we have concerns about the ethical choices of the people we supervise. And we will discuss unique supervisor ethical dilemmas you and others send in.

Brought to you by CTAT, LLC in collaboration with MAXIMUS Higher Ed and hosted by the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Center

Are you charged with financial management of a federal award, or awards? Are you new to financial award management and want to make sure you're appropriately managing your federal funds? Are you an experienced award manager who wants a better understanding the intricacies of financial award management compliance? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, this workshop is for you.

Federal Awards, Strings and Financial Compliance is an intensive, 1 ½ day workshop designed to show you what it takes to get it right with financial grant management from start to finish, including budgeting, spending, invoicing, reporting and award closeout. Led by award management professionals Kris Rhodes and Doyle Smith of MAXIMUS, who together have decades of federal award financial management experience, the workshop takes you from the challenges of proposal budgeting, managing the award, and closing it out, covering each step in detail. You'll get answers to your questions, build confidence, and walk away with practical knowledge you can start using immediately.

We address documentation expectations and costing specific requirements under 2 CFR 200. The workshop also provides you with a foundational understanding of direct and indirect costs, cost sharing, program income, cost transfers and financial reporting. We next look at the steps required to build a responsible proposal budget that meets federal requirements for consistency in estimating, accumulating and reporting costs on federal awards.

For your consideration, rats.... This was spotted at Fay Myers on Tuesday.

What you may not be able to discern from the photo is the abundance of carbon fiber protection :)
