If you are still staying with Comcast,make sure that you are getting the English feed with Bien.

I did an upgrade with Comcast to add Bien the other year,and it was nothing but Espanol.l promptly dropped that "upgrade"!

[emrat:8366] March EMRAT Meeting

Hello fellow EMRATs!

Our regular monthly EMRAT meeting at the Interstate Kitchen and Bar is coming up this Tuesday, March 1st. Official start time is 7:00, but arrive early if you would like to grab a bite to eat and socialize.

Parking is in the garage that can be accessed from the south of the building, or you can park on street.

This month, Martin will be presenting information on how to ride safely in a group. We have the Chuck Ferrari ride coming up in March and this will help those that are newer to riding with a group, or just a refresher for the rest of us. Hope to see you there!

I recall recently reading in one of my MC magazines that there is a national lawsuit by some MC organization challenging states that do not allow free use by MC in HOV lanes. The suit would award attorney fees to the challenger if they prevail. Colorado is probably trying to head that result off at the pass. The trick is some "HOV" lanes are really not HOV, they are HOT lanes, like route 36 and the new west bound lane on I-70. They fall into a grey area as to whether they are included in the federal HOV law.

While expresstoll claims its 'free' for motorcycles to use the 'HOV' lane, you do need to open an account with $35 which you can't get back (but can use for tolls on cars and such) to get the transponder. I felt they were getting around this federal law by calling it a 'toll' lane instead of a 'HOV' lane, and just saying motorcycles and HOV vehicles can ride it 'free'. IMO, this is BS, collecting an nonrefundable $35 from a lot of people, that could also in theory be used as a cash base they could use to invest or loan money off creating additional interest income. While I haven't done a ton of research, they probably are not doing that, but still BS in my book.

This is my opinion, and is probably completely false. I'd be interested in others opinions on the matter.

It is now official,MotoGP,Moto 2/3 will no longer be broadcast on Fox Sports this year.DORNA has sold out to Bien Sports network,who will also countinue to broadcast World Superbike,and as a bonus,all Moto America road race series.

What this all means is that those of you that have Comcast,they do have Bien at an additional cost,as long as you are very fluent in Spanish!

Alternatively,there is Directv (sports package),which just so happens that l will be getting set up Friday of this week.

Round 1 of World Superbike is this weekend from Oz'.Will let you know how this works out.

Those of you that want to pull the trigger now,go to Directv.com for package options.There is a link to call a live person for additional information.I am not certain what Dish network offers.

If l come across any additional info,will post it promply.Remember that MotoGP kicks of on March 17th.

We have another range certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. It is located approximately 15 miles north of Strasburg, CO. The closest intersection is 112^th and Strasburg Rd. and then there are 5 miles of gravel to get to the range. The dates we will have class at this range are:

Saturday, March 26 at 10 a.m.

Sunday, March 27 at 10 a.m. 12+ years old

Saturday, March 16 at 10 a.m.

Sunday, March 17 at 10 a.m.

This is on a first-to-email us, first-served basis. We have a large waiting list so please, if you see a date that will work for you, let us know as soon as possible.
