Hi, everybody. I'm happy to announce that Triumph in the Rockies for 2023 is a GO, with the destination being Gunnison.

I have arranged for 20 rooms to be held for our group. The hotel will be the Western Motel which is located along Tomichi Ave near downtown Gunnison, so it is very close to many eating/drinking establishments.

Because Gunnison is such a popular tourist destination, I was only able to have them hold the rooms until MAY 1ST. So please reserve ASAP. If you aren't able to go you can cancel I believe up to 72 hours ahead of time with no penalty (may be shorter than that.)

Room rates are:

Single Queen for $145.99 + tax per night
Single King for $155.99 + tax
Double Queen $165.99 + tax

Although this is more than we paid at the Red Arrow, I can assure you it is considerably less than what most of the other motels in Gunnison are going for this time of year.

Please call the hotel directly and tell them you are with the motorcycle group. Phone number is 970-452-9920. The same people actually own two hotels that are right across from each other, the Sherpa and the Western, but I asked for them to put us in the Western because it has better parking.

Specific details of the event will follow but for now, please mark your calendars, save the date and make your reservation.

If a regular Ironbutt 1000 isn't adequately challenging, try adding the requirement that your feet never touch the ground. Uh, I think the re-fueling would scare me off.
