I forgot to give an update on the brewery progress on Tuesday night! Sorry about that, I was fighting a bit of a cold and starting to lose my voice a bit. So the latest:
We had our public hearing last night (weds) in front of the County Commissioners. This is the process that we need to go through in order to re-zone to allow a craft brewery (as it is currently zoned for use as a tavern or brewpub; sounds like a minor difference, but it is huge for us). The commissioners voted 6 to 1 to approve the rezoning. Now we have another public hearing coming up on the 25th. Until the rezoning is complete, we can't start the build-out.
We soldier on in what is a muuuuuuucccchhhhhhh longer process than we anticipated, but we are both happy and relieved to get through last night's hearing. One step closer to.....(let me hear it, EWB).......
