Odell 90 Schilling is a brown ale that is, imo, quite tasty and good. Then again I am fond of brown ales.

I would appreciate if the meeting was changed from Tuesdays as I have multiple conflicts for the first Tuesday of the month (that is a MP not a YP, just stating).

As for some not liking Anheiser Busch business practices, I respect that and understand that is just one tactic in their push to keep and gain market share.  Some of which are "not quite cricket" as some would say.

Like all the other clubs, from time to time the Jaguar club has looked at alternatives.  Like all the other clubs we haven't really come up with anything better.  Piccolo's is not a "destination restaurant" but over time most folks have found something on the menu they can enjoy if not "to die for".

They do have Stella and something called Odell 90 on tap and some craft beers in bottles.  The complimentary chips and salsa and hot rolls are decent and the room has a separate entrance so you don't have to come in the main door and wade thru the tables to get there.  Most of the entrees come in full or half orders and a half order is enough for most folks.  We do get a designated server and separate checks are the norm.  They do add the tip because of the large group.

There are no convenient locations at 6:00 on a week night in Denver anymore including downtown.  Some people will have a harder time getting anywhere than others.  Occasionally we don't meet at Piccolo's as we're doing something else that serves as our monthly meeting and we don't lose our 2nd Tuesday time slot because of it.

Yeah, they are busy all the time. Probably because they are near the theater and know their main clientele.  But RMMRC has largely grown tired of it after 4 years.  Of course the ones who complain the loudest never have any suggestions on where to move to or want to do any of the legwork in finding a new place.

But since Sara and I stepped down from leadership it isn't our problem anymore :)

Amazing, Piccolos has been around forever. Owned by the Canino family, (Don`t know if they still are) who also owned the "Angies" Italian restaurants. Kathy managed the Angies on Leetsdale Drive, near G.W. High school back in the Early `70,s. There was a Piccolos on the west side of Denver and one near Evans and Holly. Then the one at Hampden & Monaco opened. I'm not advocating Piccolos one way or the other, but they have done something right to have hung around this long.

Our RMMRC group has been meeting at Piccolos for the last 4 years.

Pros:
-The meeting room has a good setup
- It does have a designated wait staff

Cons:
- Food palatable but mediocre and never changes
- No good beers
- WiFi is often down

We have actually been looking for a change for the past 2 years, but it's hard to find a place with a good meeting space where you can close the doors so it's not too noisy to meet.

One of our members suggested we check out the Bistro at Aspen Grove, but we haven't gotten around to it.

Also there is Nonna's on Arapahoe bearish Peoria in Centennial. We did check them out and they do have a separate meeting room.

That's probably a little strong but they are at odds with people like me.

Is be happy to talk further about this with any who would like to know more.

I would really prefer to keep looking for an alternativeto 10 Barrell. I would just ask that everyone google some of the practices of Budweiser designed to put me and others like me, out of business. 10 Barrell is one of these tools. I have not and will not spend a dime there.

Thankyou for checking this out,you saved me a trip tomorrow!

Alternatively, there is Piccolos off Monaco and Hampden, just east of l-25.l did stop by there last Summer,at the time, their meeting room can seat up to 70 people, also includes designated wait staff,no issues splitting checks.

Down side is the Jaguar and Triumph car clubs have Tuesday nights booked, but first Weds. is wide open.Vince Lane highly recommends this location

Just went by 10 Barrel Brewing at Walnut & 26th (10barrel.com).  Nicely done large brewpub with a decent beer list and good looking pub food.  Most importantly they have a good sized separate room in the back with at least eight four stool tables and about a 60" tv on the end wall.  Room does not have doors to isolate it, but it's on the far opposite end of the main room from the bar, so typically pretty quiet according to Maki, the asst. mgr.  Music can be turned off in that area to help.  Tuesday nights (including 11/5/19) are open (they have trivia on Wednesday) and we can reserve it, though they do require a minimum spend of $350.  At $20/each, that's a min headcount of 18, 14 if $25/each, so probably doable, but maybe a bit tight some evenings.  Parking is less convenient.  Can expect street parking on Walnut and 26th to be limited, however there is a pay lot just behind 10 Barrel (literally east), so should have enough capacity, but $2-3 bucks for the meeting.  All that said, I suggest we try the place out and see what folks think.  Contact for arrangements is Maki @ 503-970-4615; kayli.maki@10barrel.com.

Another alternative that has a closed door room big enough for us and ample free parking is the RiNo Beer Garden up the street at Walnut and 38th, but they are one of the places that have Tuesday night trivia, so would have to shift to Monday or Wednesday to make that work.

Hello all

We are coming up on our November meeting on Tuesday 11/5/19. First, does anyone have a presentation they could give?

Second, we will be back at Coal Mine Ave Brewing.  The last location was too small and the acoustics made it very difficult to hear.  Still on the hunt for a new location.  Cheers!
