Growing up in England,the RD400 was the bike of choice for road racing.The Kawasaki triples were trounced once the RD's came onto the scene.l believe,if my memory is working,that the cases were taken apart after every third race weekend.There were still a few die-hards that rode from home to the track,then raced,then back home afterwards......

I told myself that those few miles in forty-six years didn't do that motor any favors. It seems likely that the crankshaft seal between the cylinders will need to be replaced, meaning that the crankshaft will have to be removed and pressed apart.
