Please take note of the attached flyer about a free 2 day suicide intervention skills training on Thursday, January 31, 2013 and Friday, February 1, 2013 from 8am-4:00pm each day at Mile Hi Church 9077 W. Alameda Lakewood, CO 80026. This training is coordinated by Jefferson Center for Mental Health. Lunch is provided on site each day for free.
The ASIST workshop is for caregivers who want to feel more comfortable, confident and competent in helping to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. Over 1,000,000 caregivers have participated in this two-day, highly interactive, practical, practice-oriented workshop.
This training is open to anyone living in or providing services to those living in Jefferson, Clear Creek, or Gilpin Counties...including (but not limited to) parents, foster families, community representatives, healthcare staff, social services, mental health personnel, juvenile justice, law enforcement, school personnel, emergency services workers, business workers, and faith based organizations.
