Martin, did you notice that the negative terminal created any sparking when you attached it to the battery? (Presuming you had already attached the positive lead). If so you probably have a draw in the system that is draining your battery, possibly related to the starter. An ammeter on the positive lead could show how much amperage is being drawn. Good luck 🍀

As for the electric issue, it keeps killing batteries, including brand new ones!  Put a new battery in last night, it gave a few weak attempts at starting and then nothing.  When I measured voltage it was below 10v.  I'm thinking some kind of short circuit somewhere?  Anyone ever seen something like this?
