Dan

Firstly, sorry that you will be unable to attend this year's rally. We are up to 25 souls that have committed, which has exceeded my expectations.Maybe people like me or l am a push over seeing as this is the first rally l am leading?

I will promise to post pictures.Last Friday,Wayne bought over the tee shirts (which look great) and l did put yours to one side.

I have not ridden since May 18th.l picked up a fractured wrist ( throttle/ brake side) early last month so l have to drive up to Steamboat with all the swag. Will be off work thru the end of July so call/ e-mail me when you get home.Very flexible this month, obviously duh!!Be happy to meet you one day and also bring along your shirt.Take care and be safe on the island,cheers..........

Subject: [emrat:15094] Steamboat Springs, Peter Sharp, Etc.

Greetings, everyone:

First, I had planned to stop in Steamboat for our rally on my way back to Denver from Vashon Island WA, where I have been since Memorial Day.  A situation has developed here, however, and I have had to delay my departure until July 24th.

Second, the legendary Peter Sharp, who attended the Gunnison Rally last year and who lives in the Phoenix area, departs today on a long route, camping along the way, to attend the Steamboat rally via Kanab and Torrey Utah and then Loma CO and CO 139.  By Thursday night, he should be in Craig CO.

He has made his Rabbit's Ears Motel room reservation, snagging the last one of the block.  He has put a year's more work into his (four carburetors) silver 1200 Triumph Trophy.

For those of you who have not yet met him, Peter was a member of our club back in the 2000s and rode a gorgeous T595.  He  still has the bike and has continually customized it, and it has become a beautiful show bike.  It is truly a work of art.  Ask him to show you photos of it.

He says he does not ride as fast as he did "Back in the Day" with such fast riders as  Trip Miller, Keith Houghton, "Wild Bill" and Bullet Bob Linden (the guys who never let the Speed Limit or the Double Yellow Line intimidate them).

So, in closing, have a great rally and safe rides.  I will see you again soon down the road.

Cheers,
Dan
