I am recruiting for two public representatives for the Medical Assistance and Services Advisory Committee, also known as NightMAC. This Committee was created in 1967 and operates in accordance with 42 CFR 431.12 (Code of Federal Regulations) based on section 1902(a)(4) of the Social Security Act and was established as the Colorado State Medical Assistance and Services Advisory Council under Section 25.5-4-203 C.R.S. (Colorado Revised Statutes).
The Colorado State Medical Assistance & Services Advisory Council exists to improve and maintain the quality of the Medicaid Program by:
- Contributing specialized knowledge and experience to that available within the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, and
- Providing a two-way channel of communication with the individuals, organizations, and institutions in the community that, with the administrating Agency, provide and/or pay for medical care and services.
Meeting are scheduled on the 4th Wednesday of the month except not in July and Dec. The committee meeting from 6-7:45pm, dinner is provided, and travel is reimbursed. The term is 3 years with an option to renew once. More information can be found here: https://www.colorado.gov/hcpf/
