I've camped there. There is a great restaurant on the south side of CO 14, can't remember the name but it's the only one there. I recall a camp store near there too but don't remember an alcohol retailer but the restaurant had beer to go. There was no cell service, att. Great spot otherwise

For all interested RATs who would like to go on the camping trip to State Forest State Park Saturday, we will be meeting at 9:30 AM at the Dacono Kum & Go convenience store (exit 235 on I-25), on the SE corner behind the Infinity dealership. We will be leaving there at 10:00 and heading north on a route to be determined but mostly through the back roads along the Front Range to Masonville, over Stove Prairie Rd to CO 14, and west to the campground. I anticipate our arrival around 2:00 PM, depending on our lunch stop.
-- The weather is predicted to be in the low 70s with overnight lows in the mid to lower 40s. Some rain may pop up on occasion, so be prepared with rain gear. I haven't been able to confirm if Gould has any open retail food or liquor stores, but Walden is about 20 miles away if you need to pick something up, or restaurant food for non-cooking campers. Other than that, bring your gear and a sense of misadventure for a good time in the mountains!
