Re: [emrat:10256] Re: Tire HELP!!!

Whatever you get, remember to check your pressures when you get them back.  I hated my new Metzler Lasertecs until I realized they'd inflated them to 36F/42R.  Setting them back to recommended 32/36 solved the problem.  That's not the first time that's happened, either.

E-Steve,

Have run a few sets of Pilot Power 2CTs which are two compound radials.  Have been very happy with grip, but 4000 best I have gotten from the rear, with current tire down to 3/32 at 2600, arrgh!

My beloved 2003 Speed Triple is in dire need of new tires. As this is the only bike that l currently own (l am NO Dan Pilcher)l need to look at tires geared a little away from the Super sport compounds due to price and durability issues.

Questions:

Any one out there running Dunlop Q3's and are these any good?

Thinking about Michelin Pilot 2's.Not sure if these work on a Sport bike and the availability of a rear tire in a 190 size.

Bullet Bob,l believe l saw Michelins on your S3 but do not recall the exact type.

Any input from fellow S3 owners would be greatly appreciated.Thankyou in advance.
