The rest of the story:

I switched the Deltran battery chargers, my large one on the BMW, to the Street Triple with the "dead" battery and the Tender Jr to the BMW.  After 24 hours the Triumph now starts first flick and the Jr is still blinking green as opposed to the steady green that the larger one showed when it was on the Beemer.  It's now in the round receptacle.  After some thought and review for suggestions received from some of you, I've ordered an Optimate from Amazon to be delivered Monday.  That will go on the Beemer so all should be good going forward.  My thanks to all that contributed to this chain.

BTW, to all who may be interested, Paonia has given the BMW Club the go ahead for the Top of The Rockies Rally for July 24-27.  If you have never been, this is one of the great low cost rallies around with live bands Friday and Saturday night.  Loads of shaded city park camping and good food.  Hope to see you there..
