Re: [emrat:12700] Battery Tenders

I've had zero problems with either of my Battery Tenders, a Jr and the normal full size one. When they blink green the battery is usually the problem in my experience. YMMV as they say.

Thanks Jim, I'm reaching the same conclusion.  Looking at an Optimate 4 on Amazon.

I've always taken the 'flashing green but won't go solid green' as an indicator that the charger is toast.

I have used the Schumacher that I bought at Walmart for years and it has always been reliable.

Thanks

Subject: [emrat:12696] Battery Tenders

I use three different battery tenders as my bikes are in different places.  The worst performer seems to be the "Battery Tender Junior".  Any thoughts on the most reliable brands?  The Tender Jr still blinks green like its charging but my 3 year old battery is dead.  How does one know it's really charging?

Thanks
