[emrat:3270] 2003 Black Triumph 955 Daytona

Thanks for the supportive comments, guys. Last night's inspection of the bike has to be the worst ever for me!

Bill, the seller lives in an apartment complex, and the bike, although it has a MC cover, is outside. It was so cold that my hand was shaking as I visually inspected the bike with a flashlight. The battery was obviously weak since it does not have a battery tender attached and had probably not been started in some time, so it took a bit to fire up, but then it ran well.

Another guy living in the complex drove by and asked if he was selling the bike. Bill gave the guy his phone number.

That was when I realized that I had to act quickly and that, if I waited, the bike could very well be sold since Bill apparently needs the money ASAP. He knew that he priced it below what he could have gotten if he had had time to be patient, given the great condition and very low mileage of the bike.

So, I just acted on my gut instinct. Consequently, I slept very poorly, wondering if I had made a big mistake. Now I get to wait for warm weather and dry streets to pick the bike up and find out whether or not I made a wise decision. And take it down to Erico's to have it checked over . . .

If Dave Warfield had sold me his black 2004 Sprint RS, I would never have done what I did last night!

:-)

Sleepless in Denver
Dan
