The back and forth discussion of BMW's in the group got me to thinking about this ...
In years past, the other group that Sara and I participate with, RMMRC has done an annual New Years Day Ride to Rockyard Grill in Castle Rock.
While RMMRC is a mixed group, the other groups that annually participate are BMW Clubs, The BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado (Colorado Beemers) and Pikes Peak BMW from Colorado Springs. This is probably due in no small part to the fact that the BMW Cosmonauts have heated everything on their bikes from foot beds to jock straps and I believe some have their own espresso machines. But Triumph riders are tougher right? RIGHT?!?
So with that Triumph toughness in mind, I was wondering if EM/RAT would be interested in making a good presence at this years event? Show that we can get out there and ride with the Beemers without having 5K worth of heated gear to go with our 35K bikes? hahaha
The above is mostly tongue in cheek, and I realized even some of the hardened Triumph riders have at least some heated gear of their own. But the plan was this.
Rockyard Grill opens at 10AM.
The idea is to perhaps meet at the Conoco on Santa Fe and Blakeland (just off of 470) at about 9AM with the idea of departing at about 9:15AM to get to Rockyard a bit early and secure a table.

For those who don't want to ride or live more south, they can drive or ride on their own and meet others there?
Is anyone interested? Or do hardened Triumph riders prefer hot cocoa, bunny slippers, a warm dog and a fireplace on New Years Day to riding in the cold?
