Re: [emrat:4067] Re: Ride suggestion

I would suggest Snooze at SouthGlenn as an alternate, but I don’t know that it would be any less busy.

Good Morning All,

Heads up that the Pancake House on University is also very busy.  More than likely you will wait at least 15 minutes.  I take the kids there frequently as it is near my house.

The Wendl’s might be in for the Pancake House.  The glaciers that usually live in front of our house are gone for now!  The tigers have been getting mighty dusty...

Here's my suggestions:  meet for brunch at 11 AM at the Original Pancake House in Cherry Hills at S. University and Orchard Rd.  I haven't been to this location, however I have been to the Tech Center location and they are real busy, so I thought I'd try the CH one instead.  After brunch, take a short ride and then head home.  Alternatively, meet at the Cherry Creek WORLD OF BEER at 660 S Colo. Blvd. at 12 Noon, and watch the remains of the Daytona 500 NASCAR race, enjoy 1 beer (we're not soccer hooligans, after all!) and make your own way home.  I plan on riding the 250 KLX SF, so I won't be going on an extended ride, no matter what we decide.  Please post your choice, and we will go with the majority.  Of course, this is weather-dependent, and I will post by 9:30 AM tomorrow if it happens at all!  Wayne E.

So was there a plan for tomorrow? Time, place, ride? I could meet somewhere after 10:00ish. I promised my daughter some brioche french toast in the morning, so that would be the earliest for me to leave the house.

Check out  www.rambler ranch.com

These 2 friends have developed a private car museum focused on Nash and American Motors but it includes others as well.  It also includes a display of Kelvinator appliances from way back in the day when Nash owned Kelvinator much like GM owned Frigidaire.  You probably have to be older than Manny to know what I'm talking about.

I understand it's somewhere between here and CSP, the site does not mention its location.  I suspect since it's really not an open commercial spot.  Organized clubs can arrange to meet there and view the museum and grounds, that include a 30-40's era Sinclair Gas Station recreation.

If this of interest, I'll contact the owner and see about a Sat or Sun date in June.
