OK, let's scratch Tarryall then (which is a shame as it's an awesome road) and just do 126 down to Deckers and Woodland Park, with lunch at the Hungry Bear? After that people can find their way home via Colorado Springs or back up 126 or 67 to Nighthawk Hill.
Sound good?

I have been hoping that this pavement project had been completed, but I guess not. I rode it north to south on the way back from Montrose in July.
There were two sections that were problematic. The first was graded road, ready for paving, apparently. It was smooth and you could roll along at 35 mph, no problem. The next section was just painful, with pieces of old pavement like islands on the eroded road. That was rough and much slower.
Anyway, it's a great road for motorcycling. It had been years since I had been over it, and I had forgotten how beautiful the country is that you pass through on the west side of the Tarryall Mountains.

I can't join you for the ride as I'm in Montrose, but I rode the Tarryall road a couple of weeks ago. They were paving a section of the road outside of Lake George, with 1-2 hour delays. You might want to check the CDOT page to see if they finished. Have fun!

Anyone up for a ride? Thinking Tarryall Road should still be pretty nice. How about 9:30 at the Morrison Conoco?
