As many of you know, I live part of the year in South Carolina and belong to a local MC group called the Road Runners.  I send this out just to prevent the "Shit, I wish I knew you were doing that, I'd have gone" lament.

 

I am one of the ride planners for a trip to Americade (June 4-10) and Laconia Bike Week (June 11-18).  The current thought is to attend Americade, Lake George, NY) June 4-7, and then go to New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for a few days and then back to Laconia, NH for the end of Bike Week.  These areas include some of the best roads and sights in the Adirondack and Green Mts and then the Maritime Provinces.  If you are not familiar with these rallies, Laconia is like Sturgis, mostly a Harley event but Americade is a multi-brand event attended by most of the factory teams for demos and lots of vendors, events and music.

 

It will be a combo of camping and motels.  For now, the only place we are making reservations is the KOA (or motels) at Lake George  for June 4-7 because that event is very popular and fills up quickly ala-Sturgis.  I have not yet decided whether to bike back to Hilton Head and fly home or ride my Triumph back to Denver with the thought of selling it next summer to be replaced by a T-120 (ps, don't mention that part to Julie).  Maybe if one of you goes, that would tip the scale!
