That said, it might have been more fitting to make the offender crush his own bike for being such a d-bag. By the looks of the bike it probably wouldn't have gotten much on the open market anyway.

Not that the Denver Police Department asked my opinion, but I would have preferred that the bike be auctioned off with the proceeds going to a motorcycle safety program.  Jail and fine the rider, the real culprit.  Spare the bike!

Just watched the video on the news of the destruction. Can't say the guy didn't deserve it. But it still hurt watching a perfectly good bike getting destroyed.
