Marysville WA just north of Seattle. And he's a Canadian, retired from H-P. Those Canadians have the "Right Stuff." 😊
He's planning for 2020 a multi-month solo ride across Canada but as on a far north route as he can and eventually riding the Maritime Provinces. Then he's going to ride down to FL and store his bike for the winter. In 2021, he will ride west across the southern US and then up the West Coast and back home.
By the way, what inspires him? He watched the DVDs, "Long Way Around" and "Long Way Down."
His wife, Dorothy, is amazingly non-plussed about his adventures. But she's Canadian also. He uses a Spot Gen 3 to keep her informed of his whereabouts.
Poor guy only has one bike, however.
