[CPN] Community Coordinating District No.1 - REMINDERS & SAVES THE DATES!

Dear Community Leaders & Stakeholders,

We wanted to take a moment to remind you of all the upcoming events! Please see below and never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Also, please pass the attached flyers onto your spheres of influence! 

  • Making Our Cities More Emotional, a conversation w/ Candy Chang. Candy will be in Denver on April 4th at RedLine (24th and Arapahoe) from 5:30-7PM. A Senior TED Fellow, Urban Space Artist & Designer, Candy will share her experiences and successes in creating better public spaces and transforming our cities through Art & Design. You will not want to miss this!
  • Community Coordinating District No.1 PUBLIC MEETINGOur next Public Update Meeting is scheduled for April 11th. We'll be holding it at St. Francis Center at 2323 Curtis St. from 5:30-7PM. We'll look forward to presenting all the latest progress made at Sonny Lawson Park, Sonny Lawson Park and Eddie Maestes - Triangle Park! There's a lot to share here and we REALLY hope you all can make it.
  • A Visual Conversation on Africa with Vanity Fair Contributing Photographer Guillaume Bonn. The District's work and influence extends all the way into Africa. It's really quite the story we have to share here and it's probably best you join us for Cassava Fritters and Kenya Mandazi to learn more! Come experience African cuisine and culture with Colorado twist on March 28th - 6:00 - 8:00PM - 450 E. 17th Ave. PH level. 
    • Save the Date for the Better Block Project! Denver is once again working on a Better Block Project, but this time in the Five Points area at Welton Street on May 11th, 10AM - 5:00PM in Sonny Lawson Park (24th and Welton)
    • Earth Day / Children in the Plaza Event. To celebrate our children in the community and Earth Day we're holding a fun-filled event in Cousins Plaza next to Sonny Lawson Park on April 21st at 5:00PM. Bring your kids and be prepared to do paper mache and all sorts of fun stuff! Flyer and more details to come.
