EMRATS - PRESIDENT'S DAY RIDE?

 

I have the day off on Mon, 2/17 (President's Day).  Is anybody up for a ride to brunch and then a ride afterwards?  Here are a couple of possibilities:

 

Meet in Morrison at the Blue Cow, 11 AM, eat, and then check out Bear Creek canyon, Indian Hills, Deer Creek canyon, etc. (might well be dirty &/or wet)

 

Meet in Parker at the Swedish Coffee shop on Main St. (the name escapes me, but it is located on the North side of the street about 3 blocks East of Parker Rd.), 11 AM, eat, amble around on the back roads East and South of Parker towards the Elizabeth/Kiowa area.

 

Of course all this depends on the weather.  Respond on which you would prefer and we will go with the majority.

My Sturgis-going friend Vince who belongs to the Denver Triumph (car) Club mentioned something that we might consider for a June day trip.

These 2 friends have developed a private car museum focused on Nash and American Motors but it includes others as well.  It also includes a display of Kelvinator appliances from way back in the day when Nash owned Kelvinator much like GM owned Frigidaire.  You probably have to be older than Manny to know what I'm talking about.  

I understand it's somewhere between here and CSP, the site does not mention its location.  I suspect since it's really not an open commercial spot.  Organized clubs can arrange to meet there and view the museum and grounds, that include a 30-40's era Sinclair Gas Station recreation.  

If this of interest, I'll contact the owner and see about a Sat or Sun date in June.
