I remember seeing a Triumph Stag in the late "70's, and it had a gorgeous set of chrome wire wheels on it. On closer inspection, however, the spoke nipples were rustier then a tramp steamer in Long Beach harbor! E-Steve; wasn't the an iteration of the Stag available only in the British Isles? Daimler comes to mind, however I doubt this. I remember a magazine photo of the car, and it had a broad brushed metal strip across the top. Wayne E.
P.S. - I believe that the TR-7 and TR-8 held NHRA sports class records in their day.

I had a 77 TR7, it was a great car. Never had any problems out of it. It was red with a tan interior. Wish I still had it. It was a quick car also. Would bark the tires in the first 3 gears.

Yes it had Tons of electrical problems. It was the time of the location move, and it changed it's looks to the Checkered/ plaid sets, square doors locks, etc. It was black with TR7 written on the door paint. It was nice looking for the time, but a real problem child.

I remember grinding the gears on a downshift during my test drive and infuriating the salesman (and getting a little red-faced myself). My friend was driving an MGB at the time and it was a sweet little ride compared to the TR7. I ended up buying a "Buick" Opel Manta (European import) with 4-speed manual that was a real kick to drive. Great little car with lots of character and super-tight handling.50 worst cars ever made...

It also includes a display of Kelvinator appliances from way back in the day when Nash owned Kelvinator much like GM owned Frigidaire. You probably have to be older than Manny to know what I'm talking about.I understand it's somewhere between here and CSP, the site does not mention its location. I suspect since it's really not an open commercial spot. Organized clubs can arrange to meet there and view the museum and grounds, that include a 30-40's era Sinclair Gas Station recreation. If this of interest, I'll contact the owner and see about a Sat or Sun date in June.
