[emrat:4459] Today's Museum Tour

Amen to the kudos for Steve for organizing our outing.  It was great to see so many show up.  I'm definitely going back when I can take the time to carefully study the exhibits.  I digressed on my ride home through the burned part of the Black Forest, which was very sobering.  Nothing but foundations and brick/stone chimneys and rusted, burned out vehicles.  Very powerful.  And yet, among the standing blackened tree trunks, which stretch off into the distance, some people are bravely rebuilding.  As the sign said at the museum, extraordinary things are accomplished by ordinary people . . .

Hi Steve,

Great tour.  Together with last year's visit to the WWI aviation museum in Hudson, we've got the World Wars covered.  Although I hear there's another aviation museum in Pueblo.

I somehow missed the restaurant where most of you congregated after the tour.  However, since bad weather was forecast to move in later tonight, I took the long way back through Woodlawn Park – Deckers - Pine.  An absolutely gorgeous ride on the way back, with very little traffic – more motorcycles than cars.  Dry as a bone, calm winds, and partly cloudy.

Jay
