Behavioral Healthcare Delivery:  A Practical Discussion

*This schedule includes a 15-minute break in the morning and in the afternoon, and a one-hour break for lunch. There are 6 contact hours of instruction.

This course will provide participants with knowledge and information to assess the business environment challenges and capitalize on the growing market opportunities that exist in the new health care environment.  Providers everywhere have the opportunity to design their future in the spirit of innovation and with an eye toward care coordination, new clinical pathways, and the emerging field of behavioral medicine. This training will provide participants with the background, knowledge, and strategies to turn challenges into opportunities, within this changing healthcare sector. This event will begin dialogue about how to integrate and remain relevant in the changing landscape of behavioral healthcare delivery. Specifically the attendees will examine topics of marketing services, contracting, electronic health records, billing, sustainability, information technology, administrative efficiency, and complying with 42 CFR Part II and HIPAA regulations. The ultimate goal of this training is to have the attendees begin to think broader by integrating behavioral health in primary care settings.

Participants will receive a certificate for 6.0 contact hours. This workshop has been preapproved by NAADAC and the Colorado Department of Human Services, Office of Behavioral Health. Participants may use the certificate to apply for credit from other licensing/credentialing boards.
