Hello, all!
The Colorado Center on Law and Policy has released an important tool for gauging the economic well-being of Coloradans. The Self-Sufficiency Standard for Colorado 2015 analyzes how much income Colorado families in each of the state's 64 counties must earn to meet basic needs without public assistance.
The Standard is often referenced by managers of workforce training programs, direct-service providers, policymakers, legislators and the media as a barometer for wage adequacy and to evaluate the effectiveness of policies and programs intended to forge pathways from poverty. It can also help individuals with financial planning and to make training and career decision appropriate for their own families.
A PDF of the report is attached, and it is also available online at http://cclponline.org/pub_library/self-sufficiency-standard-for-colorado-2015/.
CCLP staff are available for presentations on the Self Sufficiency Standard. We provide a tailored analysis of the data based on your organization's unique mission and geographic location, and offer insight into how the Standard has been and can be used to affect change. Please contact Aubrey Hasvold with any questions or to talk about scheduling a presentation.
Thank you for your commitment to making Colorado an even better place to live!
