Danderoo; I'm planning on going to the AMA 1/2 mile national dirttrack race in Rapid City on 8/4/15.  I will be driving my truck, leaving on Mon, 8/3, and staying in RC.  I may stay thru Wed, 8/5, to attend the shorttrack races in Sturgis.  EWB

I'm going to check in with Creekside to see if I can squeeze Denise in under my reservation.  I've gone there eight of the last ten years and have gotten to know the family somewhat well.

 

Here's the list of those who have said they are going and the dates they will ride up.  Let me know if you want to go and then we'll try to figure out how to get you into Creekside.

 

Again, if I've overlooked or forgotten someone, my apologies.  Just let me know.

 

By the way, there is a thread about Sturgis on the Triumph RAT Facebook.  Some asked about all the Triumph riders getting together, and I suggested a lunch, noon Sunday, in Hill City at "The Bumpin' Buffalo."

The thread unfortunately descended into some nasty comments between those who like going to Sturgis and those who don't go and won't go.  But, Denise, there is a woman, Helen Coates, from Victoria BC who will ride her Tiger 800 to Sturgis and she has been there before.

Denise, as for your question of whether or not we are a gang or a club, here's my answer:

·         If I want to scare someone, I say I belong to a motorcycle gang.

·         If I don't want to scare someone, I say I belong to a motorcycle club.

 

But I'll defer to Doc as to whether or not we meet the normal OMG standards of a "gang."   I kind of doubt it.  J

Hi gang, or is that club?

 

I checked into tent camping spots at our usual location of Creekside and they are full.   Am looking at other nearby spots without all-night partying.  Are any gals going along with the RAT group?  Capt Bob doesn't like Sturgis but I would like to go if there are some other gals to hang out with.
