Having lived in So.Cal. in the late 80's,lane splitting was and is deeply encouraged.Weapon of choice is a dual sport/adv.bike.Very handy for riding under semis or over the top of cars.A middle weight super sport bike is also potentially entertaining!

However,back then,there were no cell phones,i-pods,kindles etc.Hope the powers that be take that into consideration when drafting this bill!Bottom line is as the metro area countinues to get increaseinly more populated,a solution needs to be found.

I DON'T UNDERSTAND. Democrats are all about sharing, so why not lane sharing? I don't get it. Were the "certain circumstances" in which sharing a lane too unreasonable? Was it just too difficult to grasp the concept, so the bill was postponed in the Transportation Committee? come on, this is about progress, and progressing through stopped and slowed traffic. Where are the "progressives" on this issue?

It's no surprise that the majority-Democrats in the House would kill HB-1205, given that it was sponsored by two Republicans.  Such is the nature of the partisan civil war in an election-year this session in the Colorado Legislature . . . in the Senate, the majority Republicans kill the Democrats' bills.
